TYCOON born 21st April 1993 bred by Manfred Ternaben
Family : 070A Tenia Scheffler-Neuweide (Neu Wingeruppen) A magnificent bay stallion standing at 17 hands, Tycoon is a sportsman from head to toe. He has excellent Trakehner type, a large frame with an ideal top-line. Tycoon has three outstanding paces. His exceptional co-ordination allows an immense flowing motion throughout his body, producing supple, uphill movement. He moves extremely powerfully from behind and is very free in the shoulder. He was graded with the Trakehner Verband in Germany and performance tested in Adelheidsdorf with a total of 109.82, finishing 13th out of 50, gaining excellent marks in both dressage and jumping. He was successfully competed in both show jumping and dressage in Germany, winning several times at novice/medium level, before concentrating on stud duties. Tycoon has an important pedigree. His sire, Donaumonarch, was a Grade A International showjumper. His grandmother, Tugend, is also mother of the Premium stallion, Tolstoi, who sired the Champion stallions in 1996 (Farinelli) and 1999 (Freudenfest). Tugend also bore the International showjumpers, Tiflis and Trenk Quattro. The Cross Country Champion Tümmler, who sired the stallions Tenor and Tivano, also comes from the same motherline. Tycoon has produced some outstanding stock including several premium mares and Lantana, the Champion Trakehner mare at Neumünster in 2000. Lantana had previously sold at auction as a two year old for 110,000 DM. His daughter, Amazing Grace, was Reserve Champion of the 2001 mare show in Schleswig Holstein. At the 2002 mare gradings in Germany Tycoon daughters were again extremely successful with four attaining Premium status. His daughter Kaja was Champion of the Grading in Schleswig-Holstein, and his daughter Penelope vom Klosterhof was Reserve Champion in Lower Saxony. In the performance tests their excellent scores ranged from 7.67 to 8.00. In 2003 his daughter, Amazing Grace, won the small cross country final at the German National Championships and had continued success under the TSF sponsorship, having been placed 13th at the World Breeding Championships 2004 at Le Lion D'Angers. His son, Ragnitor, is a very successful show-jumper and has also qualified for the German National Championships. At the 2004 Stallion gradings in Neumuenster, Germany, Tycoon has proved himself as a sire yet again. Both the Champion Stallion, Le Rouge by Pret a Porter, and the Reserve Champion stallion, C'est Bon by Distelzar, are out of Tycoon daughters! Le Rouge has already competed at "S" level and sired two graded sons including the 2008 Champion Iskander. So Tycoon now appears in the pedigree of many successful young horses in Germany and he returned to his fatherland to stand at stud in 2009/2010. He is stationed at Gestuet Hohenschmark. |
